I know, I know. People are tired of the franchise and others just think they are silly. I agreed with them before I saw this third installment. I remember going with @DeadbeatAtDawn, @Serious_Beast, and @mac_masters to see the midnight showing of Paranormal Activity before it was even popular. We all walked out of the theatre and had the same consensus..."that was a lot of fun". I enjoyed myself and I really liked what they did with the Found Footage genre with the first film. Then came the second installment...snore. I thought the second film was completely boring and very silly, it wasn't creepy in the slightest way and therefore ruined the franchise for me. I knew this was going to be another Saw-esque move from Paramount this time. Then the third film came out and I passed on it. I was planning to watch it? Yes, but at my own leisure and I was not looking forward to it. Finally it was released on Blu-ray and I gave it a whirl. Fuck. It hit me in the fucking face and turned out to be one of the most frightening and unsettling horror films I've seen. I wish I could explain but I don't want to ruin it for anyone that hasn't seen this film. PA3 is nothing, I repeat NOTHING like the other installments and this film will make you shit yourself. I kid you not.
